Alexander Thünken works in the fields of trade mark law, design law and unfair competition law. His work includes all proceedings before German courts as well as the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the Federal Patent Court, the EUIPO and the International Bureau in Geneva. He also specialises in the field of domain law.

Alexander Thünken is active in various professional organisations (GRUR, where he is also a member of the specialist committee for competition and trademark law; INTA, where he is a member of the Anticounterfeiting Committee; MARQUES, where he is a member of the International Trademark Law and Practice Team).
